At the Reinartz Law Firm, our New Jersey Traffic and Municipal Court attorneys defend motorists accused of traffic violations in Ridgefield Borough as well as people charged with non-indictable criminal offenses. Our firm is dedicated to helping clients minimize the potential consequences of charges in Ridgefield Municipal Court.
Borough of Ridgefield Municipal Court
Ridgefield Municipal Court is located on the second floor of the court office building. If you choose to plead guilty in court, you are typically required to pay your entire fine the day the judge enters judgment, unless you can establish a financial hardship. Payments plans are possible, but your inability to pay must be established. Nonpayment or failure to appear in court may result in a bench warrant. If you wish to fight your charges, you should contact the court prior to the date on your summons to enter a not guilty plea. If you are facing incarceration and cannot afford an attorney, you may apply for a public defender. The municipal court deals with a large volume of traffic violations, the bulk of which are handled through the violations bureau. If you were cited as a result of a car accident and you or someone else was injured, a court appearance will be required.
