The city’s municipal court is located in the Emerson Borough Hall on the second floor.
Business hours are limited throughout the week, as the court administrator leaves by 12:30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to work in Old Tappan court. The court deals predominantly with disorderly persons and traffic offenses. Some common municipal court cases include the following charges:
